Ogham (pronounced OH-um) is an early medieval writing system used primarily in Ireland, dating from around the 4th to 9th centuries AD. It is the earliest known system used to write the Irish language in inscriptions.
At its core, Ogham is an alphabet made up of a series of straight lines or notches arranged along a central stemline, giving it a distinctive, almost coded appearance.
The most common Irish (Gaeilge) word for “love” is grá, meaning love, affection, or deep fondness.
This is my interpretation of how the Irish word grá would be written in Ogham.
